It seems everyday that another break through technology enters the market place. They have long model names that often read like foreign language. Most of us do not have the slightest idea what any of it means. You really do not need to though, you can leave that for the people staffing the help desk.
How many people really know what LED backlight is? The truth is we all use them, and they have been around for years. They are not often thought about, and most people just take them for granted as being there. It is almost as if they have become part of the natural world.
You may be in the habit of using the most up to date technology every day and not even realize it. Take custom LCD, the words might mean nothing to you, but chances are that you see it and take it in every day. As long as it is working you do not really care what it is called or how it works.
The lingo of the technology world is intimidating to many people. For the person that is barely computer literate, talking about graphic LCD is way over their head. The fact that this language is constantly evolving and changing may have something to do with it.
Specialists are people that know what they are doing. When something goes wrong with the computer, or the television, or other electronics that are popular now, a specialist is needed to fix the problem. The days of self-reliance are over. You can not pick up the spare parts and do it yourself anymore.
The amount of technology that we encounter everyday is baffling. There is so much that people rarely take notice of all of it. Now when something goes wrong you must contact someone that knows the jargon and can maneuver their way through all of the user manuals.
