Should I Upgrade to Windows 7?

Microsoft has decided to release a new operating system known as Windows 7, which will be available in stores in October 22, 2009. Not to repeat past mistakes connected with Windows Vista that had bad reviews, Microsoft provided a chance for many users to try the operating system.

In spite of the fact that Microsoft had fixed and made Windows Vista stable with Service Pack 1, it still had bad reviews. That is why Microsoft is releasing a new operating system.

As the desktop’s appearance of Windows ‘95 and Window ME were almost the same, Windows XP as well as Windows Vista decided to change their desktops. Window 7 will also bring some changes, it will have a new theme which looks more streamlined than Vista.

Windows 7 runs good on PC and many people believe that it will also run smoothly on notebooks. Such news is considered to be good for Microsoft as only Linux operating systems were used for notebooks. Due to Windows 7, Microsoft will be able to capture more of the market.

Windows 7 also includes brand new desktop hot keys. Such keys will help to minimize multiple windows showing or increase the size of the window you are going to drag to the top of the screen. If you want to change the size of the window, you need to drag it to one side of the screen so that the window will take only half of the screen. It is convenient when you need to look at two windows at the same time

Also Windows 7 increases the functionality of the taskbar. The windows preview functionality is improved as it allows to close the windows by clicking the “x” in the preview.

Many users complain that it is impossible to remove Internet Explorer but with the help Windows 7 you will be able to do that in order to use the alternatives such as Mozila Firefox and Opera

A lot of improvements were made to become Windows 7 the choice of most companies. But in spite of the Windows Vista’s popularity, many people still use Windows XP. The Microsoft’s task is to switch users to Windows 7 in order to realize a profit in their market share.
